University of Arizona Wildcat Bears Down on Fire

Honored to see Heather Towsley, Founder, Inventor, President, and CEO of Fireguardia earned a Class Note in the Spring 2025 Edition of Arizona Magazine. Recently, Fireguardia was issued the only U.S. patent for the first non-toxic fire retardant and related processes: Fireproof Composition and Related Processes, Patent No. 12,071,581.

After earning her degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona, Ms. Towsley spent a decade on Capitol Hill, where she worked as a communications strategist and spokesperson for a U.S. Congressman, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and a Presidential campaign. She made a successful transition to the private sector, working with a variety of entrepreneurial ventures and Fortune 500 companies.
